We strongly recommend that you read the entire document. New features This release of the product includes these new features. Out-of-band security management for Intel ® Intelligent Systems Perform out-of-band security management of Intel® Intelligent Systems such as ATMs. Remote BIOS management of Intel ® AMT systems • Apply custom BIOS settings from McAfee ® ePolicy Orchestrator ® (McAfee ePO™) . • Create BIOS configuration templates using XML-based scripts. • Import BIOS configuration templates to McAfee ePO. • Create a BIOS configuration policy. • Apply BIOS configuration to Intel® AMT systems. • Generate reports on BIOS policy configuration events generated in the last 90 days. • View name of the BIOS vendor on System Details. • Create a server task to apply a BIOS configuration policy on systems. • Apply BIOS configuration settings from the Boot/Reboot to BIOS Setup action. Intel® AMT AMT 2.2 support Manage and perform Intel® AMT actions on Intel® AMT 2.2 based ATMs. Support for Intel® AMT on non-Intel ® vPro™ Stock Keeping Units (SKU) Manage and perform Intel® AMT actions on these SKUs: • Intel Standard Manageability — Introduced with the Intel® AMT 5.0 release. This platform does not support these Intel® AMT features available with the current release of ePO Deep Command: ◦ Remote Access ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ • Local Access Alarm Clock KVM Wireless manageability Intel Level III Manageability Upgrade —Introduced with the Intel® AMT 5.1 release. It has reduced capability compared to full Intel® AMT SKU (Intel® vPro™-enabled), but has more capability than the Intel Standard Manageability SKU. • Intel® Small Business Technology (Intel® SBT) — Introduced with Intel® AMT 8.0 release. This platform does not support these Intel® AMT features available with the current release of ePO Deep Command: ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ Remote Access Local Access KVM Wireless manageability Windows embedded operating systems support Manage and perform Intel® AMT actions on systems with Windows embedded operating systems. Resolved issues These issues are resolved in this release of the product. For a list of issues fixed in earlier releases, see the Release Notes for the specific release. • Host-based configuration does not fail after an upgrade to ePO Deep Command 2.2. (959925) • Only global McAfee ePO administrator can import or delete a configuration profile template. (952581) • Intel® AMT actions do not fail with the following error message in AMTSerive.log: ERROR: Failed to load Agent Handler AES encryption data. (960589) • The release contains the latest Intel® Management Redirection Library DLL (Imrsdk.dll) to mitigate the OpenSSL 'heartbleed' vulnerability CVE-2014-0160.
