ENTRY FORM INFORMATION
Official Entry Form for this Show MUST be used; forms must be complete. ONE OWNER per Form.
No HORSE may be entered on more than one Form.
Include copies of REGISTRATION PAPERS (FRONT on new style papers; FRONT and BACK on old
style papers) for each horse entered.
Farm name may be used if the stable or farm is the bona fide owner appearing on the horse’s registration papers. The owner must have an AHA Business membership and that owner AHA number
must be used. The owner must have a USEF Farm ID# or Farm Recording Certificate and one of the
owner’s must be a qualified USEF member. Copies of AHA Business membership card USEF Farm
ID# or Certificate must be submitted with the entry.
Horses entered in AMATEUR OWNER and JUNIOR OWNER classes must be registered in the
name of competitor or member of competitor’s family.
Every Owner Exhibitor Trainer & Rider/Driver/Handler or his/her agent(s) must sign the back of the
entry blank. In the case of a Rider/Driver/Handler under 18 his/her parent or guardian or if not available the trainer must sign the entry blank on minor’s behalf. Junior Owners are not eligible to sign as
trainer—adult must sign as trainer. If no trainer owner must sign as owner & trainer.
Include copies of current AHA COMPETITION membership cards for Owner Trainer Rider Handler
Driver Junior Owner & Riders AND at least one current owner. If any of the above persons do not
have a current AHA Competition Card each must pay a single event membership.
Include copies of current USEF Membership cards for EVERY Owner Trainer Rider Handler Driver
and Junior Owner & Rider.
Walk Trot riders must list their birthdates on the back of the entry form under the parent signature.
If address of Walk Trot rider is different than owner listed on entry form please write the W/T rider
address on the back of the entry.
Payment MUST accompany entry form. Entries will not be processed unless they are accompanied
by the total amount due. If either the entry form or payment (or both) is submitted after the close of
entries, the entry will be considered late and post entry fees will be charged. *If a check is post dated
or received late you will be assessed the penalty fee at the time the check is payable.

GENERAL INFORMATION
EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT FEDERATION RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN
ACCORDANCE THEREWITH.
USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT
Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular
Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving
Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance
Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer
at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and
Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following
classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and
races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes
limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux
and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens
of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own
National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage
Sport Horse Breeding classes.
AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS – Copies of ALL trainer’s, driver’s, rider’s and Breeding/Halter handler’s and at least ONE Owner’s current AHA COMPETITION Membership Cards MUST be
included with the horse show entry form at the time of entry. Any owner trainer driver rider breeding/
halter handler who exhibits horses in the show ring or signs the entry form as the responsible person
for any individual’s horses at the show must be a current competition member of A.H.A. at the time
of entry and at the time of showing. An AHA Single Event Membership Fee of $35.00 must be paid
ONE TIME ONLY for both shows if not a current competition member of AHA or you do not have a
current competition card. Membership Affidavits are no longer available.
USEF MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS - Copies of every owner’s trainer’s rider’s driver’s and
breeding/In-hand halter handler’s current USEF Membership Cards MUST be included with the
horse show entry form at the time of entry. If showing in Amateur classes, the card must have Amateur Certification included. If you do not have a copy of your current USEF membership card, you will
have to pay $30.00 non refundable non member fee. If you are NOT a member of USEF, you MUST
pay the appropriate non-member fee. Affidavits are no longer available. USEF Membership for an
adult is $55 (with or without amateur certification). USEF Membership for junior is $55.00
AMATEUR OWNER FAMILY DEFINITION - An Amateur Owner Class is one in which every contestant is an Amateur and the rider driver or handler is the Owner or an Amateur Member of the owner’s
family. Family includes husband wife parent stepparent child brother stepchild sister half-brother and
sister aunt uncle niece nephew grandmother grandfather and in-laws of the same relation as stated.
Combined ownership is NOT permitted in Amateur/Owner classes unless all owners are members of
the same family. LEASED horses are NOT eligible. (See USEF GR136)
ARABIAN BREEDERS SWEEPSTAKES CLASSES – Classes that have an asterisk (*) located by
the AHA Class Number are Breeders Sweepstakes classes and are Arabian Breeder Sweepstakes
POINT classes that have payback $$$ at end of the show year for horses properly nominated. Ex11

hibitors must have paid the $100.00 nomination fee (a once a year nomination fee) prior to the start
of the show for the ABS classes to count towards Breeders Sweepstakes year end awards. Show
secretaries can not accept nominations at the show. Contact AHA today to nominate your Breeders
Sweepstakes horse into the ÒPOINTSÓ program for 2010. ABS designated classes are OPEN to
ALL horses (your horse does not have to be nominated in the Breeders Sweepstakes program to
show in those classes). Horses properly nominated are eligible to receive points.
ARENA DIMENSIONS & FOOTING –
Both arenas are covered - Main arena 150 x 250, mixture of clay, silt, sand and organic material.
Warm-up arena 180 x 280, mixture of clay, sand and silt.
BREEDING/IN-HAND CLASSES - IN THE RING CLASS ENTRANCE PROCEDURE will be used
for ALL Breeding/In-Hand halter classes and all horses will be judged using the ARABIAN SCORING
SYSTEM. Exception: Comparative judging will be used for Championship Breeding & In-Hand halter
classes.
BREEDING/IN-HAND CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES – Breeding/In-Hand show champions &
reserves must be at least two years old and are selected as outlined in USEF GR810.5. Arabian Half
Arabian/Anglo Arabian yearling geldings may compete for Champion Gelding.
CALIFORNIA DRUG FEE – A $5.00 fee per horse (mandatory) will be collected for State of California Drug Testing program.
CRUELTY AND ABUSE - USEF GR839 AR105 AND AHA ARTICLE 304.6 WILL BE STRICTLY
ENFORCED AT ALL AHA RECOGNIZED COMPETITIONS.
DISCIPLINE - Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy to the officials of this show on the
part of the owner lessee trainer groom rider or driver will disqualify the horse from adjudication. The
management reserves the right to remove a horse owner lessee trainer groom or rider from the show
without being liable for compensation or damages.
FARRIER - The farrier will be available on the show grounds during show hours.
GATE RULE - Due to a full schedule of classes the TWO-MINUTE limit after last call for a class will
be strictly enforced. Exhibitors are cautioned against entering the same horse in successive classes.
The gate will close 2 minutes after the first horse enters the ring or in cases with large classes taking
more than 2 minutes at the completion of final horse in the continuous string of horses. However, if
we open the gate, announce the gate is open and no one enters the arena, we will hold the gate open
for two minutes or what we feel is adequate time before closing the gate and canceling the class. IT
IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE EXHIBITOR TO BE SURE THAT HIS/HER HORSE IS AT THE
GATE ON TIME. CLASS CALLS MUST BE CONSIDERED A COURTESY ONLY. No protests will
be upheld on the basis of a public address system malfunction. Open cards may be run for hunter/
jumper classes to assist exhibitors who might have a conflict with classes in another arena. Check
with show manager or in the show office for details. TACK CHANGES - Tack Changes will be held
to two minutes. Time for tack changes begins when the last horse exits the arena from the class prior
to the requested tack change.

GENERAL INFORMATION
HALF ARABIAN/ANGLO ARABIAN COLTS/STALLIONS – Half Arabian and Anglo-Arabian stallions registered with AHA or which have been issued an AHA CPAR (Canadian Part-bred Arabian
Register) Permit are permitted to compete in the AHA PERFORMANCE CLASSES for HA/AA and
Anglo-Arabian horses. Half Arabian and Anglo-Arabian colts & stallions two years & older may compete in Sport Horse In Hand Classes.
HEADGEAR – All juniors riding in Hunter Seat Equitation sections must wear properly fitting protective headgear while riding in the designated schooling & exercise areas the show ring and while
jumping anywhere on the competition grounds. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. Any
rider violating this rule must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is
property in place. Any exhibitor may wear protective headgear (ASTM/SEA) in any division or class
without penalty from the judge.
INDEMNITY AND NON-RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSES - All entries are accepted with the understanding that the Sierra Empire AHA of Southern California and the George Ingalls Equestrian Event
Center, Norco not be held responsible for any loss damage or injury to any horse exhibited or any article of any kind. All horses shall be under the control and direction of the Show Committee but solely
at the risk of the exhibitor who will be responsible for any loss damage or injury to any person animal
or property occasioned by him his agents or employees or by an animal owned or exhibited any and
shall indemnify the Sierra Empire AHA of Southern California and the George Ingalls Equestrian
Event Center, Norco against any and all loss damages and liability thus occasioned including but not
limited to any and all legal costs including attorney fees which may be incurred as a result thereof.
The submitting of an entry form to the Show Secretary shall constitute an acceptance by each person
signing same of the provisions herein set forth.
JUDGES - If for any reason a judge fails to attend this show or perform his/her duties the Show
Committee reserves the right to substitute a judge for the one who is officially designated in the Prize
List. It is a violation of USEF Rules to commit any act or make remarks during the show that are
considered offensive and/or made with the intent to influence or cast aspersions on the judging. No
one shall approach a judge with regard to a decision or at any time unless he first obtains permission
from the Show Steward who shall arrange an appointment with the judge at a proper time and place.
LOCATION OF CLASSES - Show management reserves the right to hold classes or portions of
classes on the grounds outside the Main Arena if it is found necessary to do so or to change and/or
modify the Schedule of Events as necessary to accommodate the entries received.
MAIDEN NOVICE AND LIMIT CLASSES – Maiden Novice & Limit classes are open to horses
which have not won one/three/six first place ribbons respectively at Regular Member Competitions of USEF or CEF in the particular performance division in which they are shown. For these
shows a Maiden Novice or Limit Horse/Rider is as of the closing date of entries (January 3, 2015).

GENERAL INFORMATION
Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle
in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind,
including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate
the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid
driver’s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent
or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for
any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be
cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the
child committing the offense.
Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the
above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices
for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
RESOLUTION 9-90 FEE - Every horse competing in these shows must pay $4.00 to fund the Education & Evaluation program for A.H.A. judges & stewards.
RULES - This Horse Show is conducted in accordance with the rules of the US Equestrian Federation (National Equestrian Federation of the United States) Chapter AR - Arabian HA/AA and AngloArabian Division. The official Rule Book of US Equestrian will prevail for this show. This Prize List
is based on rules of the current Rule Book; any changes or corrections of rules will automatically
become a part of the Prize List. Each participant in this show is responsible for knowledge of and
is subject to the USEF Rules. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE
RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT U.S. EQUESTRIAN RULE BOOK WILL BE
CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. The Show Committee shall decide
questions not covered by USEF Rules and its decisions will be final.
USEF / DRUG FEE – For every horse participating in any competition licensed by the Federation
(USEF) a $16.00 Federation Fee will be collected per horse ($8 shall be an Equine Drugs and Medication fee to provide for research inspection and enforcement of rules regarding use of medications
and drugs; see GR407.1.2 and .3) An exhibitor must file an official Equine Drugs and Medications
Report Form (in writing) with the Show Steward or Designated Competition Office Representative
within one hour after administration or one hour after the Steward or Designated Competition Office
Representative returns to duty if administration is at a time other than during competition hours. The
official Drugs and Medication Report Form is available from the officiating Show Steward or Designated Competition Office Representative.
VETERINARIAN - A veterinarian will on call throughout the show. All animals are subject to physical
inspection by the Show Veterinarian at the discretion of the Show Committee. The Show Management reserves the right to refuse entry onto the show grounds to any horse exposed to or which may
be harboring a communicable disease. No veterinarian other than the official show veterinarian will
be permitted to treat medicate or attend to a horse on the grounds. Anyone wishing to use another
veterinarian other than the official Show Veterinarian on the grounds must obtain permission from
Show Manager.

GENERAL INFORMATION
STABLING FACILITY Temporary vinyl stalls will be available at $125 each. NO BEDDING IS
SUPPLIED. The only bedding allowed will be shavings. An stall with other bedding will be assessed
a fee of $250. Horses must be placed is assigned stalls and no changes will be allowed without written consent of the Barn Manager. Stall will be resrved only upon payment of fees.
Stalls will be available on Thursday, January 22nd and must be vacated by noon on Monday,
January 26th. Anyone arriving earlier or staying later will assess a $30 earlier/late arrival fee
per day, per horse. Stall assignments will be posted at the show office by noon on Wednesday,
January 22nd.
TRAILER PARKING:
There will be a trail parking lot and a passenger vehicle lot. Please follow the signs. All
vehicles parked in the wrong area are subject to be towed.
Arrivals:
Anyone arriving at the grounds must enter through gate one off of 6th street.
Arena Lighting:
The main arena will be lit as follows: Wednesday, January 22nd will be lit from dusk till midnight.
Wednesday, January 22nd through Sunday, January 26th arena lights will come on at 4 am and then
again from dusk till midnight.
Refunds
Full refunds will be given with a letter from the horse’s veterinarian prior to the close of entries. It will
be up to the discretion of the Sierra Empire Board of Directors to give refunds following the close of
entries. A letter from the horse’s veterinarian plus a written request from the exhibitor is required. Absolutely no stall or tack/groom room, USEF or AHA fees will be refunded. Exhibitor will be notified
as to the amount of their refund via email or phone call. All refund checks will be sent within 30 days
following the last day of the show.
